Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Savannah Country Day Hornets (Savannah, GA), 55-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Groves upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Rebels travel to Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA) to clash with the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) in a bout, on Friday, January 26. Savannah Country Day will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record.
