North Carolina High School Basketball - Statesville ripped by Hickory

In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Hickory Red Tornadoes basketball team scored a decisive 66-39 triumph over the Statesville Greyhounds.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes meet the East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 26. Hickory will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 11-3 record after their 44-30 league loss to North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC).

With the defeat, Statesville moves to 1-10 on the year. The Greyhounds host West Iredell (Statesville, NC) to meet the Warriors in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 24. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 5-7. West Iredell lost 52-48 in their recent non-league match against North Iredell (Olin, NC)
