Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), 53-26 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Thomas Jefferson upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Gryphons travel to Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to play the Yellow Jackets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a record of 0-13. Bessemer City lost 42-17 in their recent non-league bout against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Highland Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 45-22 non-league win over Valor Preparatory Academy (Concord, NC).
