In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Union Spartans basketball team scored a tight 56-55 triumph over the North Duplin Rebels.
In their next game, the Spartans meet the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, January 26. Union will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 4-8 record after their 65-55 league win over Lakewood (Roseboro, NC).
