The Northumberland Indians basketball team (Heathsville, VA), was nudged 42-36 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Rappahannock Raiders (Warsaw, VA)
The Raiders now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Essex for a non-league battle on Friday, January 26. Rappahannock will battle a Trojans team coming off a 46-18 non-league loss to Westmoreland (Montross, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-3.
The Indians (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lancaster (Lancaster, VA). The Red Devils come into the non-league battle with a 2-2 record. In their last battle, Lancaster edged Colonial Beach (Colonial Beach, VA), 56-19, in a non-league battle.
