In Tuesday's non-league outing, the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) basketball squad felled the host Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), by a margin of 62-45.

The Colts (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against North Stanly (New London, NC). The Comets go into the non-league outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, North Stanly thwarted Albemarle (Albemarle, NC), 59-42, in a non-league outing.

The Panthers now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Anson for a non-league outing on Friday, January 26. Piedmont will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 45-18 non-league loss to Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 10-4.
