The East Marshall Mustangs basketball team scored 84 points and limited the visiting AGWSR Cougars to 53 in the Mustangs league triumph on Thursday.

The Mustangs now have a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Hudson for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. East Marshall will confront a Pirates team coming off a 74-57 league loss to Denver (Denver, IA). The Pirates record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, AGWSR falls to 4-12 on the campaign. The Cougars host Oelwein (Oelwein, IA) to confront the Huskies in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 2-13. Oelwein lost 61-43 in their recent league game against Union (La Porte City, IA)
