In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] Bison basketball team scored a close 56-50 triumph over the Sargent County Bulldogs.

The Bison (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Maple River (Mapleton, MN). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 10-9 record.

In their next game, the Bulldogs confront the Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] Tigers (Rosholt, SD) in a B District 1 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Sargent County will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 55-48 non-league loss to Langford (Langford, SD).
