Arizona High School Basketball - Verrado overwhelms Buckeye

January 23, 2025: Buckeye, AZ 85396

The Verrado Vipers basketball team scored 91 points and limited the visiting Buckeye Hawks to 31 in the Vipers league triumph on Thursday.

The Vipers now have a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Youngker for a 5A Desert West game on Monday, January 27. Verrado will confront a Roughriders team coming off a 74-68 league loss to Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Roughriders record now stands at 4-11.

With the loss, Buckeye falls to 1-16 on the campaign. The Hawks host Youngker (Buckeye, AZ) to confront the Roughriders in a 5A Desert West game on Friday, January 24. The Roughriders go into the game with a record of 4-10. Youngker won 55-36 in their recent non-league game against Fairfax (Laveen, AZ)
