The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Centennial Coyotes (Peoria, AZ) and the host Kellis Cougars (Glendale, AZ), observed Centennial's basketball team knock off Kellis by a score of 69-61.

The Coyotes (8-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Liberty (Peoria, AZ). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 12-7 record. In their last challenge, Liberty was knocked off by O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ), 51-49, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Ironwood Eagles (Glendale, AZ) in a 5A Northwest Valley challenge, on Wednesday, January 29. Kellis will attempt to improve on its 8-10 season record.
