The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Hagerman Bobcats (Hagerman, NM) and the host Dexter Demons (Dexter, NM), observed Hagerman's basketball team knock off Dexter by a score of 56-43.

The Bobcats (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Tatum (Tatum, NM). The Coyotes come into the 2A District 4 challenge with a 5-12 record. In their last challenge, Tatum was knocked off by Jal (Jal, NM), 65-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Demons encounter the Cloudcroft Bears (Cloudcroft, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. Dexter will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 53-38 non-league loss to Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM).
