Texas High School Basketball - Fort Bend Austin can't hold off Fort Bend Clements

Fort Bend Clements Rangers (Sugar Land, TX) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fort Bend Austin Bulldogs (Sugar Land, TX), 56-52 in a league match.

With the victory, Fort Bend Clements advances its record to 14-9 on the year. The Rangers host Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX) to face the Hurricanes in a 6A Region III District 21 match on Friday, January 24. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 14-13. Fort Bend Hightower won 75-64 in their recent league match against Fort Bend Dulles (Sugar Land, TX)

The Bulldogs now own a 17-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Bend Travis for a 6A Region III District 21 match on Friday, January 24. Fort Bend Austin will face a Tigers squad coming off a 42-34 league win over Fort Bend Elkins (Missouri City, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 24-2.
