In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions basketball team scored a big 67-39 win over the Garfield Boilermakers.

The Lions (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Asbury Park (Asbury Park, NJ). The Bishops come into the non-league contest with a 0-9 record. In their last contest, Asbury Park was trounced by Freehold Boro (Freehold, NJ), 78-40, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Boilermakers battle the Elmwood Park Crusaders (Elmwood Park, NJ) in a Bergen/Passaic - King contest, on Monday, January 27. Garfield will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Crusaders come into the contest with a 4-8 record after their 65-40 non-league win over Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ).
