California High School Basketball - Horizon Prep nips Liberty Charter

In Thursday's league contest, the host Horizon Prep Lions basketball team scored a close 42-38 win over the Liberty Charter Lions.

The Lions (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA). The Lancers come into the non-league contest with a 7-12 record. In their last contest, Hilltop edged Logan Memorial Education Campus (San Diego, CA), 35-29, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Ocean View Christian Patriots (San Diego, CA) in a Patriot contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Liberty Charter will attempt to better on its 5-14 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 5-11 record after their 72-18 league loss to Preuss UCSD (La Jolla, CA).
