The Poland Tornadoes basketball squad (Poland, NY), was nudged 52-45 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting West Canada Valley Nighthawks (Newport, NY)

With the victory, West Canada Valley advances its record to 6-7 on the year. The Nighthawks host Town of Webb (Old Forge, NY) to meet the Timberwolves in a non-league battle on Monday, January 27. The Timberwolves enter the battle with a record of 5-8.

The Tornadoes now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to DeRuyter for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 25. Poland will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 39-36 league win over Stockbridge Valley (Munnsville, NY). The Rockets record now stands at 7-1.
