In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Yuba City Honkers basketball team scored a big 65-29 win over the Placer Hillmen.

The Honkers (17-2) will now prepare for their contest against Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA). The Miners come into the contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Nevada Union was trounced by Roseville (Roseville, CA), 60-46, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Hillmen battle the River Valley Falcons (Yuba City, CA) in a contest, on Wednesday, January 29. Placer will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record. The Falcons come into the contest with a 3-16 record after their 64-52 league loss to Del Campo (Fair Oaks, CA).
