Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Academy Park can't hold off Penn Wood

January 23, 2025: Lansdowne, PA 19050

Penn Wood Patriots (Lansdowne, PA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Academy Park Knights (Sharon Hill, PA), 54-52 in a league match.

With the victory, Penn Wood advances its record to 8-9 on the year. The Patriots travel to Sacred Heart Academy (Bryn Mawr, PA) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Friday, January 24. The Lions enter the match with a record of 9-3. Sacred Heart Academy lost 51-28 in their recent league match against Gwynedd Mercy Academy (Gwynedd Valley, PA)

The Knights now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bayard Rustin for a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. Academy Park will face a Golden Knights squad coming off a 41-37 league win over Kennett (Kennett Square, PA). The Golden Knights record now stands at 11-3.
