Illinois High School Basketball - Sterling holds off Alleman

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors basketball team scored a close 37-35 triumph over the Alleman Pioneers.
The Golden Warriors (21-4) will now prepare for their contest against Geneseo (Geneseo, IL). The Maple Leafs go into the Western Big 6 challenge with a 5-15 record.
In their next game, the Pioneers encounter the Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Alleman will attempt to improve on its 17-7 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 11-14 record after their 44-35 league loss to Riverdale (Port Byron, IL).
