In Thursday's league test, the Globe Tigers (Globe, AZ) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ), by a score of 48-36.

Next, the Tigers encounter the Florence Gophers (Florence, AZ) in a 3A Central test, on Monday, January 27. Globe will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Gophers come into the test with a 6-16 record after their 39-23 non-league win over Palo Verde (Tucson, AZ).

The Prospectors (2-10) will now prepare for their test against Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ). The Sentinels come into the 3A Central test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Seton Catholic was knocked off by Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ), 53-45, in a league test.
