The Byron Bears basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Pine Island Panthers to 48 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now possess a 18-3 record. They play next when they travel to Northfield for a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. Byron will confront a Raiders team coming off a 54-46 league win over Mankato East (Mankato, MN). The Raiders record now stands at 11-5.
With the loss, Pine Island falls to 5-13 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lourdes (Rochester, MN) to confront the Eagles in a AA Section 1 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 10-7. Lourdes lost 73-57 in their recent non-league game against Goodhue (Goodhue, MN)
