In Thursday's league test, the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) basketball squad trounced the host East Grand Vikings (Dansforth, ME), by a score of 50-22.

Next, the Cougars encounter the Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME) in a D North test, on Saturday, January 25. Katahdin will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Crusaders come into the test with a 3-10 record after their 29-21 non-league loss to Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME).

The Vikings (0-12) will now prepare for their test against Easton (Easton, ME). The Bears come into the D North test with a 1-12 record. In their last test, Easton was routed by Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME), 45-15, in a league test.
