Gretna East Griffins (Gretna, NE) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Elkhorn Antlers (Elkhorn, NE), 57-25 in a league match.

With the victory, Gretna East advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Griffins host Pius X (Lincoln, NE) to face the Thunderbolts in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The Thunderbolts enter the match with a record of 15-3. Pius X won 74-39 in their recent non-league match against Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE)

The Antlers now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Crete for a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. Elkhorn will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 54-37 non-league loss to Blair (Blair, NE). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-8.
