In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Gehlen Catholic Jays basketball team scored a good 46-37 triumph over the Woodbury Central Wildcats.

The Jays (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union (Marcus, IA). The Royals go into the non-league contest with a 1-14 record. In their last contest, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union was topped by George-Little Rock (George, IA), 62-20, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Ridge View Raptors (Holstein, IA) in a Western Valley - North contest, on Friday, January 24. Woodbury Central will attempt to better on its 9-7 season record. The Raptors go into the contest with a 5-10 record after their 63-6 non-league win over Siouxland Christian (Sioux City, IA).
