The Gillespie Miners basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host North Mac Panthers to 31 in the Miners non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Miners now possess a 17-7 record. They play next when they travel to New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly for a non-league game on Monday, January 27. Gillespie will confront a Vipers team coming off a 43-38 non-league loss to Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia (Concord, IL). The Vipers record now stands at 15-8.

With the loss, North Mac falls to 9-14 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Sangamon Valley/Tri-City (Niantic, IL) to confront the Storm in a non-league game on Monday, January 27. The Storm go into the game with a record of 2-16. Sangamon Valley/Tri-City lost 59-38 in their recent non-league game against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL)
