California High School Basketball - Mt. Pleasant trounced by Gilroy

Gilroy Mustangs (Gilroy, CA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Mt. Pleasant Cardinals (San Jose, CA), 58-29 in a league match.

With the victory, Gilroy advances its record to 6-11 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Live Oak (Morgan Hill, CA) to meet the Acorns in a Blossom Valley - Almaden Valley match on Saturday, January 25. The Acorns enter the match with a record of 12-5. Live Oak won 46-22 in their recent league match against Del Mar (San Jose, CA)

The Cardinals now own a 1-15 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Grove for a Blossom Valley - Almaden Valley match on Saturday, January 25. Mt. Pleasant will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 71-37 league loss to Lincoln (San Jose, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.
