The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) and the visiting Heston Academy Patriots (St. Helen, MI), observed Oscoda's basketball team overwhelm Heston Academy by a margin of 71-11.

The Owls (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Bay City, MI). The Wolves come into the non-league challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Central was trounced by Powers Catholic (Flint, MI), 71-23, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Whittemore-Prescott Cardinals (Whittemore, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Heston Academy will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 44-30 league loss to Alcona (Lincoln, MI).
