Illinois High School Basketball - Shawnee routs Joppa-Maple Grove

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Shawnee Redskins basketball team scored a big 44-21 triumph over the Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers.

The Redskins (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Northside Baptist Christian (Mayfield, KY). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Northside Baptist Christian was trounced by Cobden (Cobden, IL), 48-28, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Rangers battle the Cobden Appleknockers (Cobden, IL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Joppa-Maple Grove will attempt to better on its 0-8 season record. The Appleknockers go into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 48-28 non-league win over Northside Baptist Christian (Mayfield, KY).
