In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Lord Botetourt Cavaliers basketball team scored a good 44-31 win over the Patrick Henry Patriots.
The Cavaliers (13-1) will now prepare for their contest against Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Vikings come into the Blue Ridge contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Northside was topped by William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 54-42, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Christiansburg Blue Demons (Christiansburg, VA) in a River Ridge contest, on Friday, January 24. Patrick Henry will attempt to better on its 8-7 season record. The Blue Demons come into the contest with a 7-5 record after their 54-48 league loss to Hidden Valley (Roanoke, VA).
