The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Seneca Bobcats (Erie, PA) and the host Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA), observed Seneca's basketball team edge Mercyhurst Prep by a margin of 45-38.

The Bobcats (11-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Eisenhower (Russell, PA). The Knights come into the District 10 Region 3 challenge with a 13-2 record.

In their next game, the Lakers battle the Redbank Valley Bulldogs (New Bethlehem, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Mercyhurst Prep will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 54-45 non-league win over Erie (Erie, PA).
