The Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) basketball edged the visiting South Rebels (Willoughby, OH), 40-36 in Thursday's league bout.
The Beavers now possess a 9-8 record. They play next when they host Mayfield for a Western Reserve bout on Saturday, January 25. Riverside will play a Wildcats team coming off a 48-44 league loss to North (Eastlake, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-8.
With the loss, South falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Rebels host Chardon (Chardon, OH) to play the Hilltoppers in a Western Reserve bout on Saturday, January 25. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Chardon won 62-40 in their recent non-league bout against Hathaway Brown (Shaker Heights, OH)
