The Luverne Cardinals ice hockey team scored 4 points and held the host New Ulm Eagles to 2 in the Cardinals non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cardinals now own a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Worthington for a Southwest bout on Tuesday, January 28. Luverne will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 2-2 league Windom (Windom, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 1-11.
With the defeat, New Ulm moves to 6-8 on the season. The Eagles travel to Windom (Windom, MN) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-10. Windom 2-2 in their recent league bout against Worthington (Worthington, MN)
