The Wheatland Pirates soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Center Cougars to 0 in the Pirates league victory on Thursday.
The Pirates now hold a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Yuba City for a bout on Friday, January 24. Wheatland will play a Honkers squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Roseville (Roseville, CA). The Honkers record now stands at 4-9.
With the loss, Center moves to 1-7 on the year. The Cougars travel to Lincoln (Lincoln, CA) to play the Fighting Zebras in a bout on Monday, January 27. The Fighting Zebras go into the bout with a record of 8-6. Lincoln lost 3-1 in their recent league bout against Colfax (Colfax, CA)
