The Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) basketball edged the visiting Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA), 50-48 in Thursday's league bout.
The Hornets now possess a 13-5 record. They play next when they host San Leandro for a bout on Wednesday, January 29.
With the loss, Piedmont falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Highlanders host Capuchino (San Bruno, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Monday, January 27. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Capuchino won 58-19 in their recent league bout against Oceana (Pacifica, CA)
