The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) and the visiting Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA), observed Albemarle's basketball team edge Western Albemarle by a margin of 33-31.

The Patriots (13-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Louisa County (Mineral, VA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 1-12 record. In their last challenge, Louisa County was tipped by Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 41-32, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Western Albemarle will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.
