In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Crystal River Pirates basketball team scored a close 43-38 win over the Belleview Rattlers.
The Pirates (12-6) will now prepare for their contest against Lecanto (Lecanto, FL). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 16-2 record. In their last contest, Lecanto edged River Ridge (New Port Richey, FL), 67-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Rattlers battle the Lake Weir Hurricanes (Ocala, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Belleview will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Hurricanes come into the contest with a 10-1 record after their 55-34 non-league win over Trinity Catholic (Ocala, FL).
