Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Southern Rams (Oakland, MD) and the visiting Northern Huskies (Accident, MD), saw Southern's basketball squad knock off Northern by a count of 47-39.

With the victory, Southern upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 10. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 10-3.

Next up, the Huskies play the Meyersdale Red Raiders (Meyersdale, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Red Raiders come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 53-43 non-league loss to North Star (Boswell, PA).
