Virginia High School Basketball - Fluvanna County can't hold off Albemarle

The Albemarle Patriots basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Fluvanna County Flying Flucos to 63 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monticello for a Jefferson contest on Friday, January 27. Albemarle will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 59-46 non-league loss to Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-13.

The Flying Flucos (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs enter the Jefferson contest with a 0-15 record. In their last contest, Goochland was nudged by Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA), 88-26, in a league contest.
