The Algona Bulldogs basketball team (Algona, IA), was nudged 89-85 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Humboldt Wildcats (Humboldt, IA)
The Wildcats now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hampton-Dumont/CAL for a non-league battle on Friday, January 27. Humboldt will battle a team coming off a 61-49 non-league win over West Fork (Sheffield, IA). The record now stands at 4-6.
The Bulldogs (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA). The Cadets come into the North Central battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Iowa Falls-Alden edged Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA), 47-39, in a league battle.
