North Carolina High School Basketball - West Stanly topples Anson

January 24, 2023: Oakboro, NC 28129

In Tuesday's league outing, the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) basketball squad beat the visiting Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC), by a margin of 73-54.

The Colts (9-11) will now prepare for their outing against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the 2A/3A Conference 44 outing with a 6-13 record. In their last outing, Forest Hills was topped by Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 46-44, in a league bout.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) in a 2A/3A Conference 44 bout, on Friday, January 27. Anson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 57-44 league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC).
