Bangor Slaters (Bangor, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Moravian Academy Lions (Bethlehem, PA), 66-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bangor upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Slaters host Notre Dame-Green Pond (Easton, PA) to play the Crusaders in a Colonial - East bout on Thursday, January 26. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 13-3. Notre Dame-Green Pond won 57-31 in their recent non-league bout against Northwestern Lehigh (New Tripoli, PA)

Next up, the Lions play the Palisades Pirates (Kintnersville, PA) in a Colonial - East bout, on Thursday, January 26. Moravian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 50-48 non-league loss to Roberto Clemente Charter School (Allentown, PA).
