Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA), 77-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Fort Cherry upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Rangers travel to Frazier (Perryopolis, PA) to play the Commodores in a WPIAL 2A 4 bout on Friday, January 27. The Commodores come into the bout with a record of 2-15. Frazier lost 63-53 in their recent non-league bout against Charleroi (Charleroi, PA)

Next up, the Bearcats play the West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Bentworth will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Pioneers come into the bout with a 2-13 record after their 63-52 non-league loss to Carmichaels (Carmichaels, PA).
