Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA), 53-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Valley upgrades its record to 5-9 on the season. The Warriors travel to Beaver (Beaver, PA) to play the Bobcats in a WPIAL 4A 2 bout on Friday, January 27. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Beaver won 74-36 in their recent league bout against Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA)

Next up, the Cougars play the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Blackhawk will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 89-64 league win over Derry (Derry, PA).
