Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bloomburg Wildcats (Bloomburg, TX), 82-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Sulphur Bluff upgrades its record to 13-15 on the season. The Bears travel to Yantis (Yantis, TX) to play the Owls in a 1A Region III District 24 bout on Friday, January 27. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Yantis won 41-21 in their recent league bout against Union Hill (Gilmer, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Saltillo Lions (Saltillo, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 bout, on Friday, January 27. Bloomburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 20-8 record after their 58-33 league win over Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX).
