Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Johnson Central Golden Eagles (Paintsville, KY), 87-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Boyd County upgrades its record to 14-3 on the season. The Lions travel to West Carter (Olive Hill, KY) to play the Comets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 3-13.

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 30. Johnson Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-12 season record.
