With the win, Briarwood Academy upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Buccaneers host Augusta Prep Day (Augusta, GA) to clash with the Cavaliers in a GIAA AA Region 4 bout on Friday, January 27. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Augusta Prep Day won 63-44 in their recent league bout against Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Thomas Jefferson Academy Jaguars (Louisville, GA) in a GIAA A Region 4 bout, on Friday, January 27. John Hancock Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 62-61 non-league win over Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA).
