The Rankin Red Devils basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Buena Vista Longhorns to 59 in the Red Devils league triumph on Tuesday.
The Red Devils now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gordon for a non-league contest on Friday, January 27. Rankin will meet a Longhorns team coming off a 67-40 league win over Gorman (Gorman, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 17-7.
The Longhorns (14-8) will now prepare for their contest against Marathon (Marathon, TX). The Mustangs enter the 1A Region II District 10 contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Marathon was outscored by Comstock (Comstock, TX), 2-0, in a league contest.
