The Cary-Grove Trojans basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Hampshire Whip-Purs to 54 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.

The Trojans now sport a 7-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Huntley for a Fox Valley contest on Friday, January 27. Cary-Grove will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 52-40 league win over Jacobs (Algonquin, IL). The Red Raiders record now stands at 18-5.

The Whip-Purs (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Dundee-Crown (Carpentersville, IL). The Chargers enter the Fox Valley contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Dundee-Crown was nudged by Central (Burlington, IL), 61-45, in a league contest.
