Catholic Central Shamrocks (Novi, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Mary's Prep Eaglets (Orchard Lake, MI), 56-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Catholic Central upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Shamrocks travel to Reeths-Puffer (Muskegon, MI) to clash with the Rockets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 28. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 5-5.

Next up, the Eaglets clash with the University of Detroit Jesuit Cubs (Detroit, MI) in a Catholic Central bout, on Friday, January 27. St. Mary's Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Cubs go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 68-53 league loss to Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, MI).
