The Okaw Valley Timberwolves basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Cerro Gordo/Bement Broncos to 41 in the Timberwolves non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Timberwolves now sport a 11-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond for a Lincoln Prairie contest on Tuesday, January 31. Okaw Valley will battle a Knights team coming off a 69-48 non-league win over Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] (Kansas, IL). The Knights record now stands at 11-12.
The Broncos (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against Cumberland (Toledo, IL). The Pirates enter the Lincoln Prairie contest with a 10-12 record. In their last contest, Cumberland was defeated by Decatur Lutheran (Decatur, IL), 69-43, in a non-league contest.
