With the victory, Covington upgrades its record to 18-6 on the campaign. The Owls host Meridian (Meridian, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 1A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, January 27. The Yellowjackets come into the bout with a record of 16-7. Meridian won 55-29 in their recent league bout against Walnut Springs (Walnut Springs, TX)
